How to reach us

By train

From Freiburg Central Station (track 6) take the suburban railway »Breisach S-Bahn« S1 direction of Breisach, get off at »Freiburg Messe / Universität« (2nd stop; approx. 5 minutes travel), then

  • cross the Technical Faculty's campus to reach Fraunhofer IPM Georges-Köhler-Allee 301 (approx. 10 minutes walk).
  • cross the railway underpath and take the ascending footpath opposite to reach Fraunhofer ISE, Heidenhofstr. 2 (approx. 5 minutes walk).

By tram

Take tram line No. 4 direction »Messe« from Central Station (the tram stop is located on the bridge crossing the railway tracks), get off at the stop »Technische Fakultät« (7th stop; approx. 9 minutes travel), then

  • cross the Technical Faculty's campus to reach Fraunhofer IPM Georges-Köhler-Allee 301 (approx. 10 minutes walk).
  • cross the railway underpath and take the ascending footpath to reach Fraunhofer ISE, Heidenhofstr. 2 (approx. 5 minutes walk).

By plane

From airport Basel, it's about an hour's drive to IPM. Hourly shuttle services to Freiburg Central Station. From Central Station take Breisach S-Bahn (suburban railway) or tram.
